The following are some important questions that students or parents might have in mind:

The PMO contest will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024

Q1: Who is eligible for the Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad (PMO)?

All students enrolled in SSC/O Level and HSSC/A Level or equivalent programs are eligible to participate in the PMO contest.

Q2: Can students who have passed HSSC or A Levels apply for the PMO contest?

No.

Q3: Who designed the syllabus?

LUMS professors designed the syllabus to align it with the International Mathematics Olympiad contest syllabus.

Q4: How many centers will be established for the PMO contest?

The number of centers will depend on the number of students applying for the PMO. FBISE will establish centers in major cities or provincial capitals.

Q5: Is the PMO test a paper-pencil or online test?

The PMO test will be a paper-pencil test.

Q6: When will the contest be conducted?

The PMO contest will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

Q7: When will the PMO results be announced?

The results will be announced within two weeks after the PMO test is conducted.

Q8: How many gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded?

This will be decided soon. It is important to note that there will be multiple medals awarded in each category.
